I joined DFWO after I moved here from Florida in 2002. I didn’t know anyone outside of work and didn’t know anything about this state. Three years later, this group has not only helped me explore some of the coolest spots in all of Texas, they also gave me some of the best friends I have here. Now THAT’S what I call a two-for-one. I moved here in October of 2004. I was anxious to meet people outside of work that had similar interests so I signed up with DFW Outdoors. I was hesitant about attending my first event but I finally went on a hike. Everyone there made me feel so welcome. I have been hooked ever since. ~Darcy D.
